I came across a disturbing news that the Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve is in Danger! There is an active discussion in Bandar Kinrara Community Forum at the following: -

The State Government had proposed a road right at the edge of the Forest Reserve along the boundary of Bandar Kinrara as shown in the Draft Local Plan. Please go to this website for info: -

The main reason I bought SR is because it is close to the forest reserve... fresh air, more cooling, jungle tracking etc. If the proposed road is being built, want to go jungle tracking also risk being knock down by car :(
The proposed road will also pave the way for more development in the Forest Reserve. Before we know it, the Forest will be all gone! I urge all of you to put in your objections soonest. It can be done at MPSJ website at: -

Please sent in your objection soonest as the deadline is 25 January 2008.
Remember, once passed and gazetted the Local Plan becomes law. It will be a great loss if we do not use this golden opportunity to determine what we want in our neighbourhood.

Funny that they mentioned about maintaining the forest reserve and yet there is no mention about the proposed Jalan Subang Kajang!
Those who have time this Thursday 17 January 2008, do try to make it to the Rakan Muda Sports Complex in Puchong at 8.30 pm for the Draft Local Plan briefing by YB Lau.
